“It's the year of the dog now,” Cagalli said, thoughtful.

“I know.” Athrun fetched a small box wrapped in silk paper from the shelf. “Here. For you. Happy New Year!”

“A dog leash?” she said when she had unwrapped and opened her present. “But we have no time to take care of a dog.” She turned the heavy leather collar in her hands.

“And I have no intention to get one either,” he said with a grin.
