Pink Ribbons

"What on earth had Cagalli been thinking when she had arranged their guest rooms?"

He was lying on the bed in his room, trying his best to ignore the muffled sounds from the other side of the wall, but it wasn't an easy task. The walls were a little too thin for his taste.

Obviously Cagalli hadn't thought at all. Not that Athrun was really all that surprised. Sometimes Cagalli turned out to be very oblivious to her surroundings. To the things going on around her. And, he admitted to himself, that could be sort of charming sometimes. He heard the bed creak on the other side of the wall, accompanied by a giggle. But not this time! She really could have thought a little longer over the greatness in her idea to give her brother and his girlfriend - who also happened to be Athrun's former fiancée - the room next door to his.

At least after seeing that Christmas gift and the looks on Kira's and Lacus' faces back then. But Cagalli hadn't seemed to notice. Oblivious was the word. But thanks to her guestroom allocation he now had a pretty good idea what you could use ten meters of pink ribbon for. Some of the muffled sounds didn't leave much to his imagination.

Athrun sighed and tried to get back to concentrate on the text he was reading. But a new exchange of muffles voices and giggles made him throw the magazine down on his bed. He briefly thought of banging on the wall, but realised that that would only lead to an embarrassing moment later on.

A quick knock on the door ended his dilemma.

"May I come in?" As usual Cagalli didn't exactly wait for an answer before she entered. The young woman was dressed in a tunic and trousers, all in different earthy colours - cream colour, a soft-coloured pastel green, and a touch of olive. Not the most girly colours, but very much Cagalli.

She stopped in the middle of the room, looking at him lying on the bed.

"I'm sorry I haven't been able to see you very much these last days," she started.

Athrun shrugged. "It's OK, I know you have a lot to do." But even if he tried his best to look like he really meant it, he was sure that she would see straight through his little lie. And the shadow of guilt that passed across her face told him that she could.

"Still, it's not right." She walked over and sat down on the bed beside him. Close beside him. He could feel her scent, and had to fight an impulse to start kissing her right there and then.

"You've taken time off to be here," she continued, "and I can't even clear my schedule enough to make you company. I haven't even seen you since the Christmas dinner yesterday. And not Kira or Lacus either. I'm inviting you all over, and then I disappear. I'm really a lousy host!"

She was about to continue with her apologies when she suddenly heard the very characteristic sounds from the other room.

"What's that," she asked. Even if her slowly reddening cheeks were a clear indication that she already knew the answer.

"Your brother," Athrun answered laconic. And Lacus."

"Oh!" Her face took on a more intensive red colour.

They fell silent. Both a little embarrassed. It was Cagalli who first broke the silence.

"So that's what that pink ribbon was all about."

The comment took Athrun off guard. Cagalli maybe wasn't the best when it came to recognise what was going on between other people, but it sure was nothing wrong with her imagination.

"I believe so, yes."

To his surprise, Cagalli seemed less shocked than he had expected. "I wonder whose idea it was? Kira's or Lacus'? Probably Lacus', judging by that pink satin gift. "

"Well, I can assure you they have been fully capable of finding entertainment even before their little pink ribbon Christmas gift. At least for the three nights since I arrived," he added dryly.

She stared at him with big eyes. "Every night! You mean they..?" Athrun nodded as he watched how Cagalli's cheeks went redder again. "And you…" She seemed to finally realise her guestroom planning mistake. "I'm so sorry. Leaving you alone and have you to listen to them every night. I swear I didn't mean to."

He wasn't entirely sure if Cagalli meant that she never planned to put him in that position or if she never planned to have him be alone. But for some reason he had a feeling it was the last.

"Can you forgive me?" She looked at him, apparently deeply embarrassed over her little mistake for some reason. After all it wasn't such a big deal, Athrun thought. He had spent enough time in badly insulated military lodgings to learn not to get disturbed by it. But this was a little different of course, having to listen to the familiar voices, while his love interest was somewhere else. Without reach.

"Don't think about it. I'll survive. But maybe there are ways you can make up for your little mistake." He kissed her on her cheek and she blushed slightly again.

"Maybe." A pleasant smile spread across Cagalli's face. "But remember that I'm not exactly the pink satin kind of girl.

"I know," he said, his fingers going to the belt around her hips. But I'm sure we can come up with something else."

He took a step back to admire his handiwork.

"You know, you're right. Olive drab fits you much better than pink," he said, grinning.

"Please, remind me again how I got involved in this?" Cagalli asked.

"Well, you said you wanted to try something different, didn't you?"

"Yes, but…"

"And don't think I haven't noticed your little… inclinations."

Cagalli blushed.

"It's a little odd, isn't it?" He let a finger trace the route between her breasts, making her whimper slightly. "That a girl that likes to be in control of everything turns out to have such leanings."

"Not that I'm the one to complain about it," he added, smirking. Taking in the sight of the female in front of him. To his amazement, she hadn't been hard to persuade. Quite the opposite, actually. When he jokingly had touched on the subject, she had picked it up almost eagerly. One thing had lead to another, and now he had a half-dressed Cagalli lying flat on her back in the bed, with her hands stretched out above her head, and her wrists secured to the headboard with the olive green woven ribbon that usually served as her belt. Her naked breasts heaving slightly from the excitement of the moment.

"So, let's continue with the fun, shall we?" He undid the button in her pants and pulled down the zipper, catching a first glimpse of her black panties. "I guess you're not much of a help here," he continued, starting to pull off her loose fitting pants. And he was right, of course. With her hands tied, all help Cagalli could offer was to push her back up a little with the help of her legs, easing his work as he undressed her.

"No," she agreed. "But remember that you're not only the one who can act, you're supposed to do it good too! With power comes responsibility, you know!" She smiled.

"I know." He placed a kiss on her belly before he continued his exploration of her body. Slowly his hand found its way further and further downwards, not stopping until he reached her small tuft of hair. That was the signal for turning his attention back to her belly and breasts. For now, at least. The young woman sighed of pleasure and he smiled at Cagalli's attempts to direct her hands by turning the little she could. He played along a little, going in the direction she desired. Her moans got louder and she squirmed under the soft touch of his hands and fingers.

"So, I think that's enough for now." He abruptly withdrew his hands from her body. "We don't want you to get all exhausted now, do we?" Athrun rose from the bed and slowly strolled toward the door and out into the adjoining room.

"Nooo," she begged. "You can't stop now! Do you hear me?" She tugged at the cloth that secured her arms. "Athrun? Athrun!"

Athrun stood outside the doorway, out of sight from Cagalli, but well within hearing range. And he was smiling broadly.
